Set up 2FA on Microsoft using Microsoft Authenticator

Log in to https://account.microsoft.com
After entering your email address and password you will be presented with a notice to provide additional information. Click “Next”
You will now be presented with a default way of authenticating using an app on your phone / tablet. You may use that. Download from Android Play Store / Apple App Store the “Microsoft Authenticator” app and open it. Or you can click on “I want to set up a different method” for other methods of authentication.
Click on next
You will be presented with a QR code to scan using the Microsoft Authenticator app. After scanning you may click on “Next”.
After clicking next, on your phone / tablet you will be presented with a pop up to approve the sign in. that will be your second method of authentication from now on.
